From the
"Horse's Mouth"
This has been an
exciting year for us at Clothes Horse!
We started out with
expanding our Spanx Collection and WOW! did they come
thru with some great new body shapers. Sarah, the
amazing woman who founded Spanx was on ABC's 20/20
talking about her new Bra-llelujah and sales were
amazing. We got them in, and sold them out so fast
that we had waiting lists! Every magazine had a write
up! Every TV and movie starlet wore their Spanx! Ellen
wore hers, Valerie B touted them as she lost 40 pounds
on Jenny Craig. Oprah and Rachael talked about
them on their shows......
I was lucky enough
to be invited to the Oprah Show in April while attending
the Stylemax in Chicago. I brought back great gifts from
Oprah's new O Store which we raffled off for our
customers. Talk about fun! Tina Fey and Amy Poeler
were her guests!
Our year continued
with Not Your Daughter's Jeans adding so many great new
tummy tuck styles to their line that our customers just
couldn't get enough. Their capris for summer were great
and the fall brought us heathered twill trousers and
just recently a beautiful gabardine trouser.
Everyone loves looking a size smaller and being so
comfortable at the same time!
We pride ourselves
having so many woman owned companies and women
designers. Not only is there Spanx and NYDJeans
which are headed up by smart saavy women, but there is
One Sole Shoes, designed by a woman who is a pharmacist
and on her feet all day. They are padded and
comfy, and with only "one sole" you snap on a zillion
cute tops to change the shoe.......and you know a woman
can't ever have enough shoes! What a great idea for
travel........
Donna Ricco designs
dresses for us and we were so excited when Michele Obama
wore her Black and White style on The View!
With the retirement in October of Designers Studio, we
are happy to expand our jewelry lines with Holly Yashi,
Far Fetched, Argent Creations, Dana Herbert Designs,and
more..........
What a year
this has been!! Just wait till next year! Always
something new and exciting at your favorite little store
in Saratoga........
